Life Groups are one of the best ways to build meaningful, life-giving relationships within our Tree of Life Church family. They provide a welcoming environment where people can grow in their faith, share life together, and encourage one another through every season.

In Life Groups, people develop committed and trusting relationships with one another and with the Lord as they pray, learn, serve, and minister to each other’s needs.

At Tree of Life Church, we believe that becoming more like Christ is best experienced in community. One of our core values is Spiritual Family—a place where you can truly know others and be known.

Whether you’re new to TOLC or have been attending for years, Life Groups offer a place to connect, belong, and grow.

Our Fall 2026 Life Group Semester begins the week of September 20th. With a variety of groups meeting on different days, times, and locations, there is a group designed to fit your schedule and season of life.

Carla Carlow – Monday @ 10:00 am

Carla has been a part of the church for over 11 years. She serves on the Women’s Ministry team and a few other teams as well to help spread the love of Jesus. She loves to connect with people (especially her husband and 4-year-old daughter), is witty, and enjoys sour gummy candy and mushy love-story movies on TV.

 

 

Fred  & Yvonne Torrez – Wednesday @ 6:00 pm

Fred & Yvonne have been joyfully married for 47 years and love serving together in the house of God. They lead TOLC Hospitality Ministry, where their warm smiles and open hearts help make everyone feel at home. Yvonne has hosted a Women of Worth group in their home, creating space for fellowship, prayer, and encouragement. Their love for people and gift of making others feel welcome has been a blessing to our TOLC family. Whether greeting at the door, sharing a meal, or opening their home, Fred and Yvonne embody the heart of Christ through genuine kindness and hospitality.

 
Angela Gardner – Wednesday @ 7:00 pm (No children)

Angela currently serves as an intercessor, prayer partner, Greeter, Connections Ministry Team, and also participates in the TOLC outreach ministries. She enjoys teaching the Word, reading, and traveling. Her favorite way to travel is on cruise ships. 

Scott & Analou Sievers – Wednesday Night @ 6:30 pm

Scott and Analou have been happily married for 15 wonderful years, sharing a life of deep love and a heart for serving God together. They serve faithfully in the nursing home, hospitality, and media ministries, and have traveled to the Philippines twice on mission trips. They believe Life Groups are essential to the Christian walk — a place where discipleship happens, and believers grow in God’s Word, learn to follow Jesus more closely, and help one another stay on mission. Their heart is for a group grounded in God and connected to one another, becoming each other’s lifeline. Through their steady service and genuine care for people, Scott and Analou reflect the heart of Christ and the joy of walking through life in community. They would be honored to have you join their Life Group.

Dwight & Linda Bertram – Friday Nights @ 7:00 pm (No children)

Dwight and Linda are long-time Christians who love the Lord. They are native Texans who have lived in the Austin metro area since 1998 and are active members of Tree of Life Church since 2013. Dwight serves as an usher and Linda serves in intercessor prayer partner and is on the Connections Ministry Team. They have been married for 34 years and Dwight has a son named Jonathan who also lives in Austin. Dwight is a retired Lieutenant Deputy Constable here in Austin, Travis County, and a former Drilling Supervisor for a major oil company. Linda is a retired community relations professional and executive assistant. Dwight enjoys gardening, fishing, and travel. Linda likes arts and crafts, music, and cooking.  You might find them in different business ventures from time to time.

Chris & DeeDee McGuffey – Friday Nights @6:30 pm

Chris and DeEsther have been blessed with 15 years of marriage and God has also blessed their union with four children and two wonderful grandsons. They have been members of TOLC for 3 years, and they both possess a servant’s heart. Chris and DeEsther’s desire to serve others is rooted in their love for God and their Faith in Him. It’s by God’s grace that they both actively serve as assistants to the youth leaders. They have served in the Nursing Home Outreach and Outreach to the Homeless. Chris leads the Men’s Ministry, and he serves as an usher. He also assists with the Sunday morning coffee bar and the monthly food pantry. DeEsther is an active member of the Praise and Worship team and just recently signed up as a Greeter. She’s also a faithful participant in the Intercessory Prayer meetings. Chris and DeEsther are both active members of Encounter With God Healing and Deliverance Ministries. While they have often opened their home up for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and worship, they are excited to host and lead a Life Group this year.
